The man stored two bundles of drugs in his car, while 16 polyethylene bags were hidden in his garage. The psychoactive substance was discovered with the help of a service dog.
Additionally, during a search of the farm where the suspect worked, another bag containing a green substance was found.
"According to the expert conclusion, all seized substances are marijuana. The total weight of the confiscated drugs amounted to 36 kg, with a black market value of over 12 million tenge. A criminal case has been initiated on this matter," the police stated.
The suspect has been placed in a temporary detention facility. An investigation is underway.
It was previously reported that over 420 million tenge worth of drugs and precursors were seized in Almaty.
