A tragedy occurred today, January 29, 2025, on Moldagulova Street. According to preliminary information, a brick fell from the roof of a construction site and struck a man.
The health department's press service reported that the man died before the ambulance arrived. The medical team could only confirm his death. The estimated age of the deceased is between 60 and 65 years.
The regional police department stated that a residential building is being constructed at the site where the man died.
"During construction work, a brick fell from a height and hit a man passing by. The man succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the incident. A criminal case has been registered regarding this matter, and an investigation is underway," the police reported.
Earlier in Russia, several citizens of Kazakhstan were involved in a car accident and were taken to hospitals in Uralsk.
