The Subaru Forester, traveling at high speed in the far right lane, reportedly lost control on a slippery road. Slush had accumulated at the roadside, which likely caused the skid.
The vehicle collided with a parked Renault truck at the edge of the road. The impact was so strong that the multi-ton truck was pushed forward, crashing into another truck standing in front of it.
After the collision, the Subaru rebounded and ended up sideways across the roadway, where it was struck by an Audi A6. The main impact hit the passenger side of the Subaru, resulting in severe damage to the front of the vehicle.
As a result of the accident, one of the passengers in the front seat of the Subaru was killed on the spot. The driver and another passenger sustained serious injuries and were hospitalized.
Traffic police and forensic specialists are working at the accident site. The whereabouts of the drivers of the parked trucks, which turned out to belong to foreign nationals, are also being determined. It is presumed that the trucks are registered in Estonia.
Traffic on Ryskulov Avenue heading east is heavily congested, creating a significant traffic jam in the area. The circumstances of the accident are being clarified.
Earlier, another accident was reported. In Uralsk, a police officer fatally struck a pedestrian.
