Employees of the police department, KNB, and emergency services in the Zhambyl region, with the involvement of a special rapid response unit, investigative operational group, and dog handlers, immediately began inspecting the shopping center building.
"An evacuation of employees and visitors is currently underway. A preliminary investigation has been initiated regarding this incident. The police department of the Zhambyl region reminds that there is criminal liability for knowingly false reports of an impending act of terrorism under Article 273 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the press service of the regional police department stated.
Previously, in November 2024, the police received a report about an alleged explosive device planted in one of the schools in Uralsk.
