According to the information from the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, it has been established that two of the detained individuals are adherents of religious extremist ideology.
During the search, large quantities of marijuana and religious literature, deemed extremist and prohibited for import, publication, and distribution within the territory of Kazakhstan, were seized from the suspects.
"Currently, a pre-trial investigation is underway, during which law enforcement agencies are clarifying all the circumstances of the case and possible connections of the suspects," the agency reported.
The police remind that the distribution and use of narcotic substances, as well as the possession and distribution of extremist materials, are serious crimes that carry criminal liability.
