Lada reports that the regional prosecutor's office conducted an investigation at the Mangistau Technical College located in the village of Shetpe. As a result, it was found that the chief accountant embezzled budget funds. The employee illegally transferred 243 million tenge to her personal account. These funds were intended for scholarships, business trips, and tax obligations.
"A pre-trial investigation is underway regarding this case under paragraph 2 of part 4 of article 189 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Embezzlement or misappropriation, meaning the theft of someone else's property entrusted to the guilty party in especially large amounts). She may face imprisonment for a term of seven to 12 years," the supervisory authority reported.
The criminal case is being handled by a special prosecutor, and judicial examinations have been appointed. Further details are not disclosed in the interest of the investigation.
