The first incident occurred on the evening of December 20 in the village of Akmol in the Tselinograd district, where seeds caught fire in a grain drying unit.
"Emergency response teams quickly arrived and extinguished the fire over an area of 50 square meters, preventing the flames from spreading," – reported the press service of the regional Emergency Situations Department.
The second fire broke out on the night of December 21 in the city of Akkol in the Akkol district at an elevator on the grain drying equipment. Streams of hot air triggered a fire involving sunflower seeds over an area of 48 square meters.
"We managed to prevent the fire from spreading beyond the unit; the fire has been completely extinguished. The response involved forces and resources from the Akkol district's fire brigade, MIU, military unit 55209, and a private fire service," – stated the Emergency Situations Department.
There are no casualties. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
In Shymkent, authorities are investigating the causes of a fatal fire. The tragedy occurred on the morning of December 17, 2024, in a private house. The fire engulfed 100 square meters of living space. As a result, three residents, including an infant, were hospitalized. Unfortunately, a 52-year-old woman could not be saved.
