The regional prosecutor's office provided details about the exemplary trial related to this criminal case.

"One resident of the Astrakhan region, while in a state of alcohol intoxication in the summer of 2024, made offensive statements towards representatives of another nationality during a conversation with another user in the 'Chat Roulette' application, which is designed for communication among users from different countries, including the use of profanity," the prosecutor's office reported.

An examination confirmed that the statements exhibited signs of inciting national hatred and discord, and concluded that the words were offensive towards representatives of another nationality.

In court, the defendant's guilt was fully established. The man was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months of imprisonment.

The verdict has come into legal force.
