Emergency Services personnel evacuated 52 passengers, including one child, from a technically faulty bus to the nearest warming station in the village of Irgiz.
The majority of those evacuated are citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan, along with 6 citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan.
They have now been sent to their destination on a different bus. No one required medical assistance.
Rescuers warn that in case of an emergency, it is essential to call 112.
It was previously reported that a police officer was fatally struck on the highway in the Almaty region due to icy conditions.
