The surgery was successful, and the next day the girl was transferred to a general ward. After a week of treatment in the hospital, she was discharged home in satisfactory condition.
According to her mother, the child had been complaining of stomach pain, weakness, loss of appetite, and weight loss for a month.
"The surgery lasted one hour and was successful. Such cases occur when children are left unattended. Young children tend to put various objects in their mouths, leading to the accumulation of harmful substances in their bodies. This poses a serious threat to their lives. We urge parents to be vigilant and not leave their children unsupervised," said pediatric surgeon Mukagali Temirbekov.
He added that surgical assistance is provided free of charge at the Turkestan regional children's hospital as part of the guaranteed volume of medical care.
