At a briefing in the Anti-Corruption Agency, journalists requested a comment on the story regarding the sale of a mansion in Almaty for 2 billion tenge, which allegedly belongs to the family of a former agency employee, reports Tengrinews.kz correspondent.
The official representative of the agency, Daniyar Bigaidarov, stated that this issue is currently under monitoring by the Anti-Corruption Service.
"I would also like to note that a publication by Amangeldy Shabdarbaev (former head of several law enforcement agencies in Kazakhstan, now retired - ed.) recently came out, where he fully commented on the origins of the property. You can see the complete comment there. In principle, I believe that a comprehensive answer was provided there. Nevertheless, the issue remains under our monitoring," Bigaidarov said.
It was previously reported that the Anti-Corruption Service will investigate information regarding the sale of the mansion located in the foothills of Almaty, which may belong to a former official.
