The newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump could resolve the Ukrainian conflict within 100 days of his inauguration. This was stated in an interview with Fox News by Trump's special envoy for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, as reported by Tengrinews.kz, citing RBC.

Kellogg emphasized that on a "personal and professional" level, he would like to set a 100-day timeline to achieve results in resolving the conflict.

"I believe he [Trump] can do it in the near future. I truly believe in his ability to reach a point where this war really ends," he said.

Moreover, according to Kellogg, Trump does not intend to make concessions to Moscow or President Vladimir Putin during the resolution process in Ukraine.

"I think people should know that he is not trying to give anything to Putin or the Russians. He is trying to save Ukraine and maintain its sovereignty, and he is going to ensure that it is fair and just," Kellogg stated.

He noted that Trump plans to negotiate with both Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during the resolution process. According to Kellogg, one of the biggest mistakes of outgoing President Joe Biden was that he was not involved in negotiations with Putin.

On January 7, Trump expressed hope that he would be able to stop the Ukrainian conflict within six months. He also mentioned that he is aware of Putin's readiness for dialogue but ruled out any contacts before his inauguration, scheduled for January 20.

Additionally, the Republican noted that he understands Russia's "feelings" regarding Ukraine's potential NATO membership. In Trump's view, there was a "deal" between Moscow and Kyiv that would satisfy all parties, but it was disrupted by Biden.

Ukraine's refusal to join NATO is one of the main demands of the Kremlin for starting negotiations and ending hostilities, alongside the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic, Luhansk People's Republic, Kherson, and Zaporizhia regions, a non-nuclear status for Kyiv, the recognition of Crimea, Sevastopol, and new regions as Russian, and the lifting of sanctions on Moscow. These conditions were articulated by Putin in June. In December, he stated that Russia was ready for compromises in negotiations.

On January 6, Zelensky outlined possible demands from Ukraine during negotiations. Among them was "partial NATO membership" (meaning that security guarantees from the alliance would only apply to territories controlled by Kyiv). Additionally, the Ukrainian authorities will not officially renounce claims to lost regions. The President added that the supply of weapons, which Ukraine would not use if a ceasefire is maintained, is also important.
