Leaders of the US Congress have reached an agreement on the budget to prevent a government shutdown: a vote on a short-term funding extension will take place soon, followed by a vote on a comprehensive budget, as stated in a release from the Speaker of the House, according to Tengrinews.kz.
On platform X, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson announced that "they agree that Congress must operate on a bipartisan basis to fund the government."

Congress members have also agreed on six bills that provide funding for various areas of government work: science, commerce, energy, transportation, military construction, and more.
The Congress will vote on extending funding for federal services for periods ranging from March 8 to March 22. Before that time, lawmakers must review the proposed bills and make decisions on them.
It is worth noting that due to Donald Trump and Elon Musk, the US government has found itself on the brink of a shutdown.
