Shavkat Rakhmonov has a new opponent for the UFC title fight.

The team of Kazakh fighter Shavkat Rakhmonov (18-0), Dar Pro Team, announced his fight on December 7, as reported by Caravan.kz.

After UFC champion Belal Muhammad declined to fight Shavkat Rakhmonov on December 7 at UFC 310, it was unclear who would be the Kazakh's opponent.

On November 15, Shavkat's team declared that a solution had been found: Shavkat will face Irishman Ian Garry (15-0).

“Shavkat Rakhmonov vs. Ian Garry. Main event of UFC 310 — for the interim UFC welterweight title,” stated the team's announcement.

Previously, a pleasant bonus was mentioned for Shavkat's victory in the UFC.
