The Vice Minister of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry, Askhat Orazbek, commented on the recent disruptions affecting government websites, including eGov, as reported by Tengrinews.kz correspondent.

According to the vice minister, a situation arose where two events coincided.

"The failures were not on the telecom operators' networks. In fact, as we analyzed, there were outages both in Russia and here. It was related to the services of Meta. You are aware of the list of these services. Regarding the availability of our government services for citizens, it was an infrastructure failure of the national operator," Orazbek explained at a Senate briefing.

In the vice minister's opinion, there is no perfect infrastructure anywhere.

"Meta is one of the largest content provider companies in the world, and disruptions occur on its infrastructure. We also experience some, but they are quite limited. The last major outage occurred in 2023, and now this one has happened. We are doing our utmost to resolve these disruptions. And not only are we resolving them, but we are also identifying the causes and mitigating the chances of future disruptions in the areas where they occurred," added Askhat Orazbek.

Let us remind you: On January 24, there were disruptions in the operation of government websites, resulting in the sites becoming inaccessible. Later, JSC "NIT" clarified the situation.
