Information has emerged online that an Air Astana aircraft made an emergency landing in Aktau. Tengri Travel confirmed the details with the company's press service.
It turned out that the flight, which was traveling from Almaty to Antalya, indeed made an emergency landing in Aktau.
"On January 8, an Airbus A321 operating flight KC915 from Almaty to Antalya departed from the airport at 08:35 local time. Due to a technical issue, the aircraft landed at Aktau airport in a routine manner. The cause was a malfunction of the safety valve in the central tank's fuel system. The flight has been rescheduled to January 9 at 09:20 due to the need for a spare part to be delivered from Almaty. Passengers have been provided with meals and accommodation in a hotel. Similar measures are being taken for passengers in Antalya," the airline reported.
The press service of Aktau airport also confirmed that the landing was due to a technical issue, without specifying further details.
As a reminder, at the end of December, it was reported that a plane flying from Baku to Aktau encountered a problem. The Ministry of Transport's press service commented on the incident at that time. There were no passengers on board. Further details can be found at the link.
