A man attempted to transport an AN-2T aircraft in the bed of a truck through the "Amangeldy" checkpoint in the Pavlodar region at the border with Russia. It turned out that he did not have the necessary documents for this, as reported by Tengrinews.kz, citing the Department of State Revenues for the Pavlodar region.
According to Maksut Kantarbaev, head of the export control department, during the inspection of the MAZ-54323 truck, an AN-2T aircraft weighing 3.6 tons was found, with an estimated value of 9.1 million tenge.
"The aircraft was purchased by the citizen at an auction for personal use. At the time of crossing the border, he lacked a conclusion on the identification of specific goods that could be used for both civilian and military purposes," Kantarbaev explained.
An administrative case has been initiated against the man.
"By the ruling of the Irtysh District Court of the Pavlodar region, the citizen has been found guilty. He has been fined more than 55 thousand tenge," the department added.
Previously, we reported that a Kazakhstani received a fine for transporting an unusual passenger.
