Meteorologists from Kazhydromet have provided a forecast for the weather in Kazakhstan on January 30, 31, and February 1, as reported by Tengrinews.kz.
The weather across most of Kazakhstan will be influenced by a northwestern cyclone. Cloudy conditions with precipitation in the form of snow, wet snow, and rain are expected on January 30-31 in the east, while on January 31, heavy snowfall, blizzards, gusty winds, and fog are forecasted for the northern regions of the country.
On January 30-31, heavy precipitation (rain and snow) accompanied by icy conditions is anticipated in the south and southeast of Kazakhstan. Only in the western regions of the republic will an anticyclone lead to dry weather without precipitation.
"Nighttime temperatures in the northern, eastern, and central parts of the country will drop to –20…–28 degrees, while by February 1, daytime temperatures will approach the zero mark," the meteorologists stated.
Previously, meteorologists clarified the winter 2024/2025 weather forecast for Kazakhstan. It was noted that overall, winter temperatures are expected to remain within the climatic norm, with precipitation levels exceeding the long-term average. However, periods of no precipitation and abnormally low temperatures are not ruled out.
