Famous rapper and entrepreneur Jay-Z has been accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000 alongside P. Diddy, Sean Combs. The alleged incident took place at a party following the MTV Video Music Awards ceremony in New York. Jay-Z described the allegations as "ridiculous," according to Tengrinews.kz, referencing NBC News.
A lawsuit against Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Corey Carter, was filed by a lawyer on behalf of a woman who wishes to remain anonymous. She claims that in 2000, when she was 13 years old, Combs (P. Diddy) and Carter raped her at a house party after the MTV Video Music Awards ceremony in New York.
The lawsuit states that she did not have a ticket to the ceremony and sought out limousine drivers in an attempt to gain entry to the show or the after-party. One of the drivers reportedly told her that he worked for Combs and that she "fit what Diddy was looking for." He invited her to the after-party.
Upon arriving at the house, she was required to sign a document to gain entry to the party. She believed it was a non-disclosure agreement. She was not given a copy of the document. According to the woman, the house was filled with celebrities and people using marijuana and cocaine.
On Sunday evening, Carter released a lengthy statement.
"These allegations are so disgusting in nature that I urge you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one! Anyone who commits such a crime against a minor should be locked up, don't you agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case," Carter responded to a request from NBC News.
Recall that in September, rapper Sean Diddy Combs was charged with racketeering, human trafficking for sexual exploitation, and other crimes, and he is currently behind bars. He was denied bail for the third time last month. His trial is scheduled for May 5.
