On December 20, a 37-year-old man, wanted by the national central bureau of Interpol of Kazakhstan for large-scale fraud, was deported from the United Arab Emirates to Kazakhstan, as reported by Tengrinews.kz.
It has been revealed that from 2020 to 2021, he deceived Kazakh citizens by promising to arrange jobs for them in government agencies for a fee. After receiving the money, the suspect left the territory of the republic.
"In January of this year, at Interpol's request, the subject was detained in Dubai. The competent authorities of the UAE decided to extradite him. Currently, the detainee is in custody," the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
Previously, the suspect in major fraud was extradited from Russia. The man promised to deliver cars from Korea at prices below the market rate. Ultimately, after receiving over 145 million tenge from the victims, he disappeared.
