Kazakh MMA fighter Zhuman Zhumabekov has learned the date and opponent for his next fight, reports Caravan.kz.
It has been announced that Zhumabekov will face a serious challenge in the form of former ACA league fighter Rasul Mirzaev, nicknamed "Black Tiger." The match, scheduled for 5 rounds, will take place in the lightweight category (up to 70 kg) in Almaty on February 8 as part of the Nomad Fighting tournament. The fight will be conducted under MMA rules in a standing position.
As a reminder, Zhumabekov held the championship belt in the Nomad league in the bantamweight category, while Mirzaev is a world champion in combat sambo and a former champion of the Fight Night Global league.
Mirzaev has previously faced Kazakh fighters — he lost by knockout to Arman Ospanov.
