Five children and two adults died from gas poisoning in Mangistau.

"It has been established that the deceased are citizens of Uzbekistan who were temporarily residing in Kazakhstan. A special commission has been created to investigate all circumstances under the leadership of the first deputy akim of the region, Yerbol Izbergenov," the regional akimat reported.

Relatives of the victims will receive the necessary support, including assistance in organizing funerals. The issue is under the control of the regional leadership.

In January 2025, a resident of the Kostanay region was found guilty of violating fire safety regulations, which resulted in the accidental death of her five children.

The tragedy occurred in October 2024. Five unsupervised children died as a result of a fire and the collapse of the house's roof.
