In just five days, nearly 700 foreign taxi drivers violating immigration regulations have been identified, reports Tengri Auto, citing Polisia.kz.

The inspection covered 46,000 vehicles and led to the identification of 1,080 foreign nationals engaged in private transportation, of which 691 individuals were found to be in breach of immigration laws.

Among the violations, 234 foreigners were held accountable for illegal labor activities, while 457 were penalized for overstaying their permitted duration in the country.

The court has ordered the expulsion of 175 foreign taxi drivers, with 103 of them placed in detention centers for identity verification. Additionally, 38 Kazakhs have been held administratively liable for unlawfully employing foreign nationals.

According to police reports, some Kazakhs were renting their vehicles to foreigners. Five such cases were identified in the capital, with similar incidents recorded in Almaty, Mangistau, and West Kazakhstan regions.
