The Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry, Askhat Orazbek, commented on the possibility of a new, fourth mobile operator emerging in Kazakhstan, reports Tengrinews.kz correspondent.
According to him, the regulator currently has no specific plans.
"I only spoke about the potential opportunity that exists. However, as of today, the regulator has no plans to introduce a fourth mobile operator to the market," Orazbek stated at a Senate briefing.
The Deputy Minister also elaborated on this position.
"If the three operators currently operating are able to compete effectively in the market, then we do not see the need for additional competition," he added.
