An unknown person broke into a private house in Aktobe and took a girl hostage, reportedly the owner of the house. The police department has confirmed the emergency situation.

"A report was received on line 102 stating that an unknown individual had entered a private home and taken a girl hostage. All emergency services quickly responded, and the area has been cordoned off. The head of the police department and the city prosecutor are on-site, and negotiations are ongoing," the agency reported.
