Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated that a ceasefire plan for Ukraine will be submitted for Donald Trump's consideration. He noted that "one or two other countries" may also be involved in developing the plan.

Starmer remarked that Europe has reached a "once-in-a-generation moment" for its security.

"We agreed that our group will work with Ukraine on a plan for ceasing hostilities, and then discuss it with the U.S. and act together," the British Prime Minister stated during the meeting.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen called for the rearmament of European countries and promised to present a corresponding plan in the coming days.

To increase defense spending, EU countries are willing to consider tax hikes. European leaders have promised Ukraine substantial amounts to enhance its defense capabilities.
