Kazakhstan's Artem Antropov has claimed the gold medal at the World Weightlifting Championship in Manama (Bahrain), reports Olympic.kz.

The weightlifter finished first in the weight category up to 102 kilograms.

In the "snatch," Antropov lifted 170 kilograms. In the "clean and jerk," he successfully lifted 230 kilograms. In total, Artem lifted 400 kilograms.

The second place went to Ibrahim Fares Elbah from Qatar with a total of 399 kilograms (174+225). Marcos Ruiz Velasco from Spain secured the third place with 395 kilograms (183+212).

It is worth noting that the Kazakhstan team now has three medals. Earlier, Alexey Churkin won silver in the weight category up to 81 kilograms, while Nurgisa Adiletuly became the champion in the up to 96 kilograms category.
