Kazakh winger Islam Chesnokov is in high demand among European football clubs, reports Caravan.kz.
Among the several clubs negotiating for the signing of Kazakh footballer Islam Chesnokov are Scottish club "Hearts," Hungarian "Kishvarda," and Turkish "Kasımpaşa."
In the past two seasons, the 25-year-old Chesnokov has played for "Tobol," scoring 19 goals in 63 matches and providing 10 assists, while he has appeared in 11 matches for the Kazakhstan national team, netting two goals.
Regarding Chesnokov's desire to play in a European club, his agent Yaroslav Zvarych spoke to Edinburgh News.
“There is interest from 'Hearts.' We are currently in the process of making many decisions because we have a lot of offers. Islam is one of the most talented players in Kazakhstan, and we are working on the next step with the transfer window open. We are currently in negotiations regarding an offer from 'Hearts.' They are interested, and we are in discussions with them. We are already moving forward with them,” Zvarych said.
It is important to note that no player from Kazakhstan has previously played in the Scottish Championship, so Chesnokov's transfer to 'Hearts' could become historic.
