Welder from Tobyl, Vladimir Shestakov, has found an unusual way to repurpose plastic bottles. He disassembles the containers and creates useful household items from them. The man's hobby was highlighted by the portal "Our Kostanay," as reported by Tengri Life.
Vladimir Shestakov began crafting items from plastic bottles after watching a video on YouTube.
"A blogger was unraveling bottles into strands and weaving useful items from them. This story inspired me, and I decided to try making something similar myself, especially since there is always plenty of raw material. I created a tool with a blade that cuts bottles into strands of the desired width. Then I learned to make brooms, bags, and similar items. It's an interesting and engaging process," the man told reporters.

One of Vladimir's most significant creations is a fence woven from plastic bottles.
"When I was making the fence, many residents from nearby houses and areas brought me raw materials," says Shestakov. "Some were skeptical about my fence, believing that the plastic mesh would disintegrate under the sun. Nevertheless, we all know that bottles can last for years without deteriorating. I'm confident that this fence will also last a long time. It's already been two years, and everything is fine. It took four months to weave the fence."

One Brazilian blogger, whom the master follows, has turned the recycling of plastic bottles into a conveyor process. The enterprising resident of Brazil sells brooms and brushes in large volumes across the country and has already made a fortune from it. Vladimir Shestakov does not have such ambitions for now – he creates everything out of passion, although he notes that this endeavor has great potential. For now, he gifts his unique creations to relatives and friends.
