It has been revealed where the controversial blogger Aika is currently located, as reported by a Tengrinews.kz correspondent. This information was provided by the Committee for the Criminal Executive System of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
On May 21, 2024, the Auezov District Court of Almaty sentenced the blogger to 6.5 years in prison.
Who is Aika and what is she famous for?
Aika is known as the organizer of a network of elite escorts in Almaty. However, she initially presented herself as a lifestyle blogger, sharing images of her luxurious life on Instagram. She sparked envy among her followers with her travels, expensive gifts, exquisite jewelry, and luxury cars.
Aika had over 120,000 followers on Instagram.

What was Aika accused of?
News of Aika's arrest surfaced in June 2023. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported the discovery of closed social networks through which private sex parties were organized in Almaty, involving model-like women providing intimate and escort services to wealthy men.

It was reported that the organizer of the sex business had meticulously concealed her activities online, where she had a large audience on Instagram, "presenting herself as a successful model and blogger."
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Almaty local was involved in selecting model-like women willing to provide sexual services for money, as well as in seeking wealthy clients. She promised the women the opportunity to find "sponsors," make important connections, see the world, and easily shape their futures.
The blogger was accused of the illegal acquisition, storage, and transportation of psychotropic substances in particularly large quantities, as well as facilitating prostitution by a group of individuals (Articles 296, Part 4, and 309, Part 2, Item 1 of the Criminal Code). During the trial, the young woman partially admitted her guilt.
An even bigger scandal arose from the leaked "Aika list"—a compilation of documents containing personal data, allegedly of clients of elite prostitutes, some of whom were quite well-known individuals.
Where is Aika now? They won’t say
The Tengrinews.kz correspondent inquired with the relevant authority about where Aika is serving her sentence, what kind of character reference she receives in the correctional facility, and whether she has been employed. However, the Committee for the Criminal Executive System did not disclose full information.
"The convicted individual mentioned in the request is serving her sentence, as assigned by the court in a medium-security facility of the criminal executive system.
According to Article 15 of the law "On Personal Data and Their Protection" and Article 93 of the Criminal Executive Code, other information from the personal files of convicts is not subject to disclosure. Relatives of convicts are notified of their place of serving sentences in accordance with current legislation," - stated the Committee for the Criminal Executive System, signed by Acting Head Abai Kayyrbekov.
It is worth noting that there are six women's correctional colonies operating in Kazakhstan: five of them are medium-security facilities located in Karaganda, Almaty, East Kazakhstan, Atyrau, and North Kazakhstan regions. The agency does not disclose which one the convicted individual is in.
General regime colonies are designed for women convicted of medium severity crimes and are characterized by less strict living conditions.
Conditions in medium-security colonies
Previously, we discussed with lawyer Farid Aliyev what the regime in medium-security facilities in Kazakhstan entails. In such colonies, there are four types of conditions for serving sentences:
- Strict conditions - convicts live in cells with minimal rights: 3 parcels and 3 short visits per year, expenses up to 2 MRP (7,864 tenge).
- Normal conditions - living in cells or dormitories, more leniencies: 6 parcels, 6 short visits, and 2 long visits, expenses up to 6 MRP (23,592 tenge).
- Light conditions - expanded rights: 12 parcels, 6 long visits, expenses up to 12 MRP (47,184 tenge).
- Preferential conditions - free movement within the facility is allowed.
Each convict in the facilities is provided with at least 2.5 square meters of space. They have personal sleeping areas and bedding. Food, clothing, linen, and shoes are all provided by the state according to the season and climate.
If convicts work at a facility, they may receive additional meals.
Daily schedule:
- Wake-up - 06:00.
- 35 minutes for exercise and toilet.
- Morning and evening roll call - 40 minutes each.
- Breakfast - 30 minutes.
- Preparation for work - up to 30 minutes, followed by the workday.
- Lunch - 90 minutes.
- Evening toilet and dinner - 30 minutes each.
- Free time - 2 hours.
- Sleep - 8 hours.
