The 95-year-old American actress Dalis Curry, known for her roles in "The Blues Brothers," "The Ten Commandments," and "Lady Sings the Blues," tragically lost her life due to the wildfires sweeping through Los Angeles. This was reported by local channel ABC7, as relayed by Tengrinews.kz citing RIA Novosti.
Last Tuesday, the actress's granddaughter Kelly took her home after spending an entire day at the hospital, and then left. Kelly was awakened by a text notification indicating that her grandmother's house had lost power, and she immediately headed to Altadena, where the police informed her that the house had been completely destroyed by fire. The blaze consumed all belongings except for a blue Cadillac. Since that night, the actress had been considered missing.
"The remains of the 95-year-old grandmother, who was deemed missing, were found in her destroyed home in Altadena following the devastating Eaton Fire," the publication stated.
The channel highlights that Curry had a long film career spanning decades. She participated in the background of iconic films such as "The Ten Commandments," "The Blues Brothers," and "Lady Sings the Blues."
