The Financial Monitoring Agency of Kazakhstan (AFM) has confirmed that former Deputy Akim of Aktau, Timur Sadvakassov, has been placed on the wanted list, as reported by Tengrinews.kz.
An official statement regarding this was disseminated by the agency's press service on Friday.
"In response to media inquiries, we inform that a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sadvakassov Timur Khabdullayevich, born on 06.05.1983, has indeed been declared wanted by the court," the press release states.
It is clarified that he is suspected of fraud and incitement to bribery of officials in particularly large amounts in order to achieve a favorable resolution regarding the initiation of a criminal case. Specifically, during the leadership of LLP "Tioline" by Viktor Dolgalev, there were numerous disagreements between him and other founders regarding the determination of shares in the "Obukhovo" field and the distribution of income derived from it, which were resolved in court.
"In turn, Dolgalev attempted to bribe law enforcement officials through Sadvakassov to initiate a criminal case against certain company founders in order to exert pressure on them and refuse their legal claims," noted the AFN.
The press service reminded that the AFM department for the North Kazakhstan region has completed its investigation into the unauthorized extraction of minerals by LLP "Tioline" at the "Obukhovo" field. The case is currently in court.
At the same time, Sadvakassov has evaded court proceedings following the annulment of an initially issued acquittal. In this regard, a preventive measure of detention has been chosen against him.
The agency urges Kazakh citizens to report to the AFM department for the North Kazakhstan region if they have any information regarding the whereabouts of the wanted individual. A reward and anonymity are guaranteed, the agency added.
