3. Bishimbaev appeared in court
Today, the appellate court in Astana reviewed the claim of the ex-wife of convicted Kuandyk Bishimbaev, Nazym Kakharman, regarding the deprivation of his parental rights. According to the convicted man's lawyer, Erlan Gazymzhanov, Bishimbaev was connected to the hearing from prison via mobile phone.
According to the information provided by the parties involved, the appellate panel upheld the decision of the first instance court: Kuandyk Bishimbaev will not be deprived of parental rights.

4. The Supreme Court proposed to write off loans for certain Kazakhs
The International Council of the Supreme Court suggested that banks and microcredit organizations write off loans for victims of internet fraud. According to the initiators, this norm should encourage credit organizations to take measures to ensure the safety of issued loans.
Later, the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market responded to the Supreme Court's proposal, reminding that on June 19, the Head of State signed a law on minimizing risks in lending and protecting the rights of borrowers. According to the document, starting from August 20, 2024, banks and microfinance organizations must cease demands on clients based on a legally binding court decision, which will establish the fact of fraudulent loan issuance without the client's participation.
5. Woman attacks child caught on video in Almaty
A resident of Almaty contacted the Tengrinews.kz editorial office to share how an adult woman attacked her 11-year-old son. The child's mother fears that the attacker may escape punishment.
According to Evgenia, the mother of the injured boy, the incident occurred while her son was playing with other children in a neighboring yard. The conflict began when a quarrel broke out between two boys—her son and the son of the attacking woman—leading to a fight during which Evgenia's child's phone was damaged. The mother of the second boy immediately ran to the scene of the fight, and instead of intervening to separate the children, she began to insult the other child. "The successful creation of a meteorological rocket could serve as a foundation for gaining competence in developing a domestic space launch vehicle for independent access to space. Overall, the required funding volume for creating and launching commercial launch vehicles, according to global experience, is about 50-60 million dollars," officials from the relevant ministry stated.

8. Police captain stabbed in Almaty
Social media has reported that a police captain sustained a stab wound to the chest during a fight that took place near a cafe in Almaty. The suspect in the attack has been detained.
