During the night on the Samara - Shymkent highway in the Irgiz district, a passenger bus transporting foreign nationals broke down, as reported by Tengrinews.kz citing the emergency services press office.
Rescue teams evacuated 52 passengers, including one child, to a warming station in the village of Irgiz.
"The evacuees, most of whom are citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan and six citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan, have since departed for their destination on another bus. No one required medical assistance," the emergency services noted.
Meanwhile, rescuers in the North Kazakhstan region pulled two vehicles with passengers from snowdrifts.
"In the first case in the Ualikhano district, a car that was stuck on a rural road in a snowdrift was towed back to the roadway. There were five people inside. In the second instance in the Esil district, the driver of another car lost control and veered into a ditch," emergency services reported.
This time, rescuers used a tow rope to pull the vehicle and saved three individuals who were inside.
