The absolute world champion in the light heavyweight division, Artur Beterbiev, responded to a question regarding the possibility of moving up to the heavyweight class, as reported by Caravan.kz.

In an interview with Boxing King Media, Beterbiev mentioned that he had contemplated the idea of switching weight categories but ultimately arrived at a definitive conclusion.

“I think not. The light heavyweight division is very good – you’re hungry, you’re fierce. If I become a heavyweight, I would have to eat too much. And that’s not good,” Beterbiev stated.

Earlier, there were reports about the potential cancellation of the rematch between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol, scheduled for February 22, but no official confirmation of this information has been received, and the boxers are preparing for the super fight.
