Agricultural companies in the Abai region were granted large state loans without collateral, as reported by the business information center Kapital.kz, citing the press service of the Supreme Audit Chamber.
"During an audit conducted in the region in May of this year, it was found that the commission for selecting agricultural projects made decisions to issue loans to two borrowers (farm "Kalikhanyly" and LLP "Örnek") without collateral, totaling 2 billion tenge," the Supreme Audit Chamber reported.
Following the identification of violations, it was mandated that they be rectified by October 14 of this year. As a result, JSC "SPK Semey" entered into collateral agreements with the mentioned enterprises for over 2.6 billion tenge.
Vehicles, equipment, and other property were accepted as collateral.
