Зеленский отреагировал на призыв Трампа к Путину прекратить войну немедленно.

The address from U.S. President Donald Trump to Russian leader Vladimir Putin reflects his desire to end the conflict, even though the White House chief does not have a clear plan. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with the Italian newspaper Il Foglio, as reported by Tengrinews.kz, citing "Ukrainska Pravda".

"He is not warning, he is just saying that he really wants to end the war. So far, we do not know how this will happen. We do not know the details. And I think that President Trump himself just cannot know all the details of how it will all end, in my opinion," Zelensky said.

According to Zelensky, Trump could end the war in Ukraine faster than anyone else in the world.

"I told him frankly that Putin definitely does not want this, so it won't happen quickly. But Trump, thanks to the strength, sanctions, robustness of the U.S., the economy, and so on, can accelerate this.

At least, in my opinion, he can do it faster than anyone else in the world today. From the perspective of the military, economy, America's influence on the world economy, and his personal characteristics, I believe he can influence this definitely faster than others. I think China has significant influence too, but the U.S. has more," Zelensky said.

The Ukrainian president also emphasized that security guarantees for Ukraine should involve the participation of Europe and the U.S.

"I would like us to develop, for people to want to return, millions of Ukrainians back home. And for that, we need security guarantees. I believe that security guarantees should be - Europe plus the U.S.," Zelensky said.

On January 22, U.S. President Donald Trump called on Moscow to conclude a peace deal with Kyiv as soon as possible and to end the "absurd war" quickly. If this does not happen, Trump threatened to impose high taxes, tariffs, and sanctions on all goods that Russia sells to the U.S. and other countries. Trump also expressed his desire to "immediately" meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In turn, Putin expressed his readiness to discuss all matters of mutual interest with Trump.

Earlier, Zelensky told Bloomberg that only guarantees from Washington could provide a reliable condition under which Ukraine would enter negotiations with the Kremlin.
