Goldbridge International Company plans to establish a sugar production plant in the Atyrau region. This was revealed during a meeting between Akim Serik Shapkenov and the company’s head, Lina Taiken, as reported by a correspondent from the Kapital.kz business information center, citing the press service of the akimat.
Serik Shapkenov expressed his support for the project presented by Goldbridge and assured that he would provide the necessary assistance.

“This is a needed and effective project for us. The land in Atyrau is suitable for growing beets. I am confident that through such projects, we will meet the domestic market's needs with our products and pave the way for the development of the agricultural sector. We are ready to provide the necessary infrastructure,” said the akim.
Lina Taiken mentioned that the plant will produce 144,000 tons of sugar annually.

“The project aims to meet the demand for sugar not only in the region but also across the country. We exchanged experiences with a leading Chinese company in the production of yeast from beets and thoroughly studied their technology. They supported our project and are ready to invest 80% of the funding. The implementation of our project in the Atyrau region will take 1.5 years. If the official documents are prepared on time, we will launch the plant in the summer of 2026, and in addition to sugar, we will produce four other types of products. We request you to provide a land plot for these purposes,” stated Lina Taiken.
The regional head instructed to explore options for providing a land plot and prepare the necessary documents for signing a tripartite memorandum.
