В Алматы в торговом центре произошла массовая драка среди школьников.

The video description states that a fight between high school students from schools No. 178, 181, and 209 took place on February 20. Supposedly, after the incident, the participants agreed not to report it to the police, but representatives from one side violated this agreement. As a result, students from schools 181 and 209 were detained. Parents claim that the teenagers were sent to a special school without a trial.

Commenting on the incident, the children's ombudsman of Almaty, Diana Yerlan, noted that a criminal case has been opened, and investigative actions are underway. Administrative protocols were drawn up against the legal representatives of the minors under Article 127, Part 3 (Failure to fulfill duties for upbringing and/or education, protection of rights and/or interests, and measures to ensure the safety of minors).

"I have sent a request to the prosecutor's office regarding the legal assessment of placing minors in a special educational institution. Today, the prosecutor's office canceled the decision to place the children in the special school," Yerlan added.

The press service of the Almaty police reported that a criminal case has been initiated by the Alatau District Police Department regarding the act of hooliganism.

"All participants in the conflict have been identified and taken to the police. Each of their actions will be legally evaluated by the investigation, and measures will be taken in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. At the same time, parents of the participants in the crime have been held accountable for failing to fulfill their duties in raising children. Recommendations have been sent to the administration of the educational institutions attended by the minors to eliminate the causes and conditions that contributed to the commission of the crime. All participants in the incident have been registered," the comment stated.

Furthermore, materials on each suspect in the criminal case will be reviewed by the interdepartmental commission on juvenile affairs at the Akimat of the Alatau District.

Meanwhile, in Semey, the police are investigating the beating and abuse of a younger student. A video has surfaced on social media showing a group of school-aged teenagers kicking, hitting, and jumping on a child. The children's ombudsman has made a statement regarding this incident.
