In the dock are 22 individuals, including psychiatrists, notaries, and former law enforcement officers, as reported by "24.kz". They are accused of forming an organized criminal group that operated from 2017 to 2023. The "black realtors" group engaged in:
- kidnappings;
- murders;
- violence against the mentally ill and elderly individuals.
All of this was carried out to subsequently seize their properties. The prosecutor has requested the court to sentence the defendants to prison terms ranging from 8 to 20 years.
The investigation estimates the total material damage caused at 668 million tenge.
"The pre-trial investigation has presented 37 episodes, including the sale of 29 apartments, attempts to commit fraud concerning two apartments owned by deceased individuals, as well as those suffering from mental illnesses," read out the state prosecutor Nuras Khan Myrzaly.
Meanwhile, in Kostanay, the trial continues against two sisters who assaulted a paramedic.
