The first month of spring will bring not only the long-awaited warmth and sunny days to Kazakhstan residents but also additional days off, reports Tengri Life.
In March 2025, the citizens of our country will celebrate two national holidays: International Women's Day (March 8) and Nauryz Meyrami (March 21–23). Due to the rescheduling of days off, Kazakhstanis will have more time to relax.
How many days off will Kazakhstanis have in March
- With a five-day workweek – 14 days off.
- With a six-day workweek – 10 days off.
How we celebrate International Women’s Day in 2025
International Women's Day (March 8) falls on a Saturday. According to the rules for rescheduling days off, an additional day of rest is assigned to Monday, March 10.
Days off schedule:
- for a five-day workweek: March 8, 9, and 10 – three consecutive days off;
- for a six-day workweek: March 8 and 9 are days off, but March 10 (Monday) is a working day.
How we celebrate Nauryz in 2025
Nauryz Meyrami is traditionally celebrated from March 21 to 23. In 2025, these dates will fall on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, so the days off will be shifted to March 24 and 25 (Monday and Tuesday).
Days off schedule:
- for a five-day workweek – five consecutive days off from March 21 to 25;
- for a six-day workweek – the days off will be March 21, 22, 23, and 24. On Tuesday, March 25, it will be time to return to work.
Professional and other holidays in March
In addition to official holidays, March also marks professional and commemorative dates:
- March 1 – Day of Gratitude, a time to express appreciation and foster an atmosphere of goodwill.
- The second Saturday of March – Land Management, Geodesy, and Cartography Day, a professional holiday for specialists in this field.
