Members of the Mazhilis emphasized the relevance of all the tasks set for addressing specific issues in the economy and improving the well-being of citizens.
The Speaker of the Mazhilis and Chairman of the "AMANAT" party, Erlan Koshanov, noted that the President proposed a new large-scale modernization agenda considering current global challenges. It includes major infrastructure projects, digitalization and artificial intelligence, the development of nuclear energy, strengthening the agro-industrial complex, and attracting investments.
"The reforms proposed by the President will help resolve many long-standing problems in the economy and other areas. The "AMANAT" party, being the leading political force in the country, must become the driver for implementing all the directives of the Head of State. All of them are aimed at enhancing the quality of life for citizens. We must effectively communicate the progressive nature of the reforms to society and unite the people of Kazakhstan around the course of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev," he said.
The Chairman of the "AMANAT" party also elaborated on the approaches to working on a new Tax Code in the context of the Government's proposals to increase VAT and lower its application threshold. The relevant committee needs to develop a specific position on these norms, taking into account international experience as well as an analysis of their impact on the economy and the business environment.
Moreover, in the shortest possible time, deputies will need to take measures to create a clear and transparent legislative framework for subsoil users, diversify the economy, and develop infrastructure, energy, and agriculture. This will establish new rules for attracting foreign investments to the country and creating additional jobs.
0Erlan Koshanov also emphasized the importance of enhancing the effectiveness of the akim corps.
"The Head of State highlighted the importance of comprehensive training for elected akims and leaders at various levels. The President ordered the launch of a training project called "Akim School." He specifically noted the experience of the "AMANAT" party, which conducts similar work. Elected akims must justify the trust of voters; they must possess the necessary competence to work within the executive branch. The party is ready to address this task together with the Government," Erlan Koshanov stated.
1During the meeting on the practical implementation of the President's directives, members of the party's faction also spoke. Nurtaï Sabil'yanov discussed measures to improve the investment climate, Askhаt Ayмагambetov expressed views on modernizing the OSMS system and further developing the education sector, Erlan Sayirov called for adaptation to changes in global politics and greater public involvement in the work on implementing the President's directives. In turn, Bolatbek Najmetdinuly noted that agriculture should focus on profitable crops, Djusenbay Turganov emphasized the progressive nature of constructing several nuclear power plants in the country, and Tatyana Savelieva focused on optimizing inefficient expenditures and transitioning to a principle of total budgetary savings.
Summarizing the results of the meeting, Speaker of the Mazhilis Erlan Koshanov emphasized that the "AMANAT" faction must ensure timely and quality preparation of laws that will form the legal foundation for achieving the tasks set by the President. All laws should be adopted with consideration of public opinion and specific solutions to existing economic problems. This is a direct responsibility of deputies to the people and the Head of State.
