According to the press service of the Technical Regulation and Metrology Committee of the Ministry of Trade, an unscheduled inspection of the company's operations was conducted following a consumer complaint.
"The inspection focused on compliance with the requirements of the RK Law 'On Ensuring the Unity of Measurements', 'On Technical Regulation', and other regulatory legal acts in the field of metrology," the agency explained.
During the inspection, a deviation exceeding the permissible error was discovered when dispensing AI-95-K4 gasoline through fuel dispenser column (FDC) No. 1.
"When dispensing 20 liters of gasoline, the shortfall amounted to 100 ml, which constitutes a violation of standards," the Committee emphasized.
It was found that the control of fuel dispensing at gas station No. 132 was carried out using a metal reference measuring device M2R-20, which was verified in accordance with established procedures and is valid until April 24, 2025. The maximum allowable measurement error for petroleum products at gas stations is ±4%.
"In total, various measuring instruments are used during the receipt, storage, and dispensing of fuel at gas station No. 132, including level gauges, metal reference measuring devices, dipsticks, and FDCs. However, during the inspection of one of the measuring devices – FDC No. 1 – it was found that the deviation exceeded the permissible error, leading to the recognition of this equipment as unsuitable for use," the Committee noted.
As a result of the inspection, violations of Article 19 of the RK Law 'On Ensuring the Unity of Measurements' were established. LLP 'Gazpromneft-Kazakhstan Operating Company' was held administratively responsible and fined 3,145,600 tenge.
