According to Petropavlovsk.news, around 7:00 AM, two intoxicated patrons clashed at one of the city's entertainment venues. Police officers nearby intervened and escorted the troublemakers out of the establishment. One of them had to be handcuffed.
The second man, in an agitated state, held a knife to his throat and threatened to commit suicide. Additional support was dispatched to the scene, and the head of the city police department, Marat Jumaliev, also arrived.
Drawing on his experience in handling various critical situations, he engaged in negotiations with the troublemaker, managed to calm him down, after which the man dropped the knife and got into a police vehicle.
Both detainees are currently serving five days of arrest for disobeying police officers. Their other actions will receive a separate legal assessment.
Previously, in Almaty, drunken troublemakers had a scuffle with special forces officers.
