A 41-year-old resident of the Kyzylzhar district, previously convicted, is suspected of assaulting a fellow villager due to issues related to a former cohabitant. The court has placed the suspect in a temporary detention facility.
Now, the victim is protected from further conflict. Over the past year, six individuals have been detained in the North Kazakhstan region due to cases of domestic violence.
In total, 437 criminal offenses related to assaults and minor bodily harm were registered in the region in 2024. Since the beginning of 2025, more than 40 criminal cases have been registered under these articles, including 19 cases in the family and domestic sphere.
