Казахстан намерен увеличить объем торговли с Ираном до $3 млрд в год.

Kazakhstan is offering Iran the supply of over 60 domestically produced goods, which could lead to an increase in the annual trade turnover between the two countries to $3 billion. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

A meeting took place in Almaty between the Minister of Trade and Integration, Arman Shakkaliev, and the Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade, head of the Trade Development Organization of Iran, Mohammad Ali Dehghan Dehnavi.

“We see great potential in increasing trade turnover with Iran to $3 billion. We are ready to offer over 60 product items, including grains, sunflower oil, meat products, and other goods worth $162 billion for supply to the Iranian market,” noted Arman Shakkaliev.

He emphasized that Kazakhstan is actively implementing the agreements reached by the leaders of the two states. Iran is one of Kazakhstan's key partners in the Middle East.

An important event that will strengthen trade relations will be the upcoming trade and economic mission, as well as a business forum in Tehran in February 2025.

The mission's goal is to strengthen bilateral ties between the countries, establish direct contacts between Kazakh producers and Iranian buyers, and expand Kazakhstan's export potential. This event will open new horizons for businesses in both countries, facilitating the development of trade and economic partnerships.

As of the end of November 2024, the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Iran amounted to $296 million, which is an 8.1% increase compared to the same period last year. Exports from Kazakhstan to Iran also showed significant growth, increasing by 29.1% to reach $100.6 million.

The main goods supplied from Kazakhstan to Iran include barley, wheat, canola seeds, fresh or chilled beef, sunflower oil, corn, lamb, goat meat, and beef.
