In 2025, the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation plans to complete eight projects focused on the construction and reconstruction of water supply facilities. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of water supply in 146 settlements, benefiting over 208,000 people, and will connect four villages to a centralized water supply system, reports a correspondent from the business information center Kapital.kz, citing the ministry’s press service.
“These projects are aimed at providing the population with quality water, so their successful completion is of immense importance,” noted Arsen Zhakanbaev, Chairman of the Water Management Committee.
A total of 536 kilometers of water supply networks will be constructed. Specifically, in the Akmolinsk region, a group water supply system is being built for the villages of Krasnaya Polyana, Petrikovka, and Arbuzinka.
In the Kyzylorda region, the reconstruction of the Baikozhinsky group water supply is underway. Additionally, a project for the construction of the Kossaman-Akbasty water supply network is being implemented, which will be connected to the Aral-Sarybulak group water supply, as well as linking the village of Akbasty to the centralized water supply system. In the Zhanakorgan district, work is ongoing to drill additional wells to increase the capacity of the Talapsky group water supply.
In the North Kazakhstan region, the group water supplies of Bulayev and Esil are being reconstructed. In the Ulytau region, the construction of the Yesqula group water supply is nearing completion, which will provide quality drinking water to the city of Satpayev and all nearby settlements.
It was previously reported that the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation plans to construct a new reservoir and canals in the Kyzylorda region. Additionally, the reconstruction of two hydraulic structures and four hydraulic engineering facilities will take place. Furthermore, 105 specialists from “Kazvodkhoz” will be sent to China for training seminars. The two-week seminars will be held quarterly, with 30 individuals traveling to China in April 2025, followed by groups of 25 each.
