In Konayev, the centenary of Nurgisa Tlendiev was celebrated.

The city of Qonayev celebrated the centenary of the great composer and conductor Nurgisa Tlendiev, the founder of the "Otyrar Sazy" orchestra. His works have come to symbolize Kazakh culture and the spirit of the steppe, as reported by IAEl.kz, referencing the press service of the Almaty region akimat.

The ceremonial event brought together many admirers of his work and representatives from the cultural sector. The hall of the House of Culture showcased exhibits from the Tlendiev Memorial Museum, including manuscripts, personal belongings, and the composer’s famous dombra, which filled the atmosphere with the history of the people.

The Akim of Almaty region, Marat SultanGaziev, emphasized the importance of preserving cultural heritage, adding that in honor of Tlendiev's anniversary, monuments will be erected and events will be organized in the region.

The concert program featured familiar compositions cherished by all Kazakhstanis. The "Altynai" folk dance ensemble performed choreographic numbers, while "Üshqonyr" presented kuyis that reflect the spirit of the Kazakh steppe. The advisor to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Malik Otarbaev, conveyed congratulations on behalf of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, highlighting the significance of Tlendiev's work for Kazakh musical culture and its recognition by UNESCO.

Renowned artists such as Meyrambek Bespaev, Tamara Asar, Aigul Kosanova, and others performed songs dedicated to the composer at the event. Tlendiev's daughter, Dinara Tlendieva, also participated in the celebration, emphasizing the continuity and preservation of his musical legacy.
