The exhibition is dedicated to the life of nomads, their everyday life, traditions, and spiritual heritage, which is vividly expressed in each artwork by the artist. Majit Baytenov is one of the prominent figures in contemporary Kazakh art, capable of conveying not only visual beauty but also the profound spiritual significance of national culture in his paintings.
The exhibition features 110 paintings that showcase a variety of themes and subjects. Baytenov's works are well-known far beyond Kazakhstan: they are housed in the A. Kasteyev State Museum of Arts, as well as in private collections in Kazakhstan, Russia, Germany, Israel, Canada, and the USA.
The exhibition is held in the Hall of Temporary Exhibitions at the National Museum and will run until January 13, 2025. This is a unique opportunity for visitors to experience the creativity of an artist whose works reflect the spirit of the steppe and the centuries-old history of the Kazakh people.
