Kazakhstan has launched the application process for the "National Book" competition.

The purpose of the competition is to promote reading culture, develop Kazakh literature, and support authors, translators, publishers, and book designers. Participants will have the opportunity to submit their works in 10 categories, including "Best Children's Book," "Best Comic," "Best Science Fiction Book," and "Grand Prix: Book of the Year."

Books published in the last two years are eligible for consideration. Works submitted after April 1, 2025, will not be registered. Participants interested in joining the competition can obtain additional information by calling:

This competition will be part of the celebration of a new national holiday — National Book Day, which will be observed on April 23, at the initiative of the President of Kazakhstan.
